The independent petroleum marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has commended the Federal Government’s decision of halting the supply of petrol to filling stations located near the county’s borders .
The Chairman of the Association in charge of Kano, jigawa Bauchi and Katsina States Alhaji Bashir Danmalam made the commendation during a chat with journalists in Kano.
He said the decision taken by the federal government was a wise decision , saying that it was aimed at uplifting the well being of the general populace.
He further appealed to the federal government to implore possible measures of addressing the issue amicably, especially with regards to the high number of Nigerians who have invested in the sector.
Danmalam assured the people of Kano state and the nation as a whole that the federal government was collaborating with IPMAN in ensuring that the nation did not record any form of fuel scarcity.
He urged the general populace to always respect rule of law for the development of the Nation.
