Women of child bearing age and married couples have been charged to embrace the attitude of child birth spacing and maternal health aimed at boasting mother and child health as well as curtailing maternal death in the country.
The coordinator of the challenge initiative TCI in Kano Malam Yusif Abdullahi Sufi gave the charge during a two days training of social Behaviour change communication SBCC on message Development and Quarterly Review meeting Held in Kano.
Sufi explained that the objective of the meeting was to enhanced the capacity of stakeholders on how to improve the advocacy of child birth spacing through massive enlightenment and community campaigns targeted at achieving the set objectives.
He said their was the need on the general public to expedite action in taking good care of their health, and frequent health care centers regularly aimed at accessing the needed health service .
In remark the representative of the Kano state ministry of health Malam Shehu Dabo said the work shop was very timely aimed at achieving effective health care service delivery.
He charged civil society organizations and other stakeholders to collaborate with government in addressing health challenges in the state and the country at large.
The workshop was attended by Health Educators, film actors, community leaders,religious leaders, journalists and other stakeholders.
